Tiffany Audubon Jardin Sterling Silver Flatware

Tiffany's Audubon pattern was first manufactured in the year 1956. It was adapted and mostly copied from a pattern named Japanese which was originally made in the year 1871and designed by renowned TIffany designer Edward C. Moore.

The pattern is made in the style of the Japanese design aesthetic. The birds are playfully nestled amongst branches and flowers in a typical Japanese natural scene. This is also a very heavy gauge and heavy weight pattern. Its rounded shape feels pleasant to hold in the hand.

In the year 2021, The French company LVMH purchased Tiffany and shortly afterwards decided to rename the pattern from Audubon to Jardin, which is the French word for garden. Will be interesting to see if this name change is successful or if it is the undoing of the pattern as customers may end up being confused. Time will tell on that.
